Getting baby gear that suits your lifestyle instead of what’s currently en vogue

Our little dude will go on about a dozen trips to at least 3 foreign counties in his first year of life. Although I have been VERY tempted to get the doona* at times, it’s an example of a popular baby gear item that just doesn’t fit our lifestyle outside of travel.

For example, we have 20+ unavoidable stairs leading into our home, so while the UppaBaby Vista looks dope, we had to prioritize the lightest and most portable gear. I feel SUPER happy with our setup (feel free to ask!) and after 5 trips, our airport routine is pretty solid and adaptable for our kiddo as he gets older.

*no shade to the doona!! If it was truly the right fit for us, I would snag it in a heartbeat!
