I love thriftbooks. If I can’t find a book locally, or it has ceased publication, I can usually find a cheap copy here. This was especially helpful during thesis research when I bought the OG American girl body book and girl culture by Lauren greenfield. (I love the public library but sometimes I want to mark up books or keep them for reference)
